Obama’s America; A Sneak-Peek?

Focus on the Family’s Citizenlink has produced for their Turn Signal a video which theorizes what America might look like in the year 2012 as a result of an Obama presidency.
I fear they might not be to far off target.
In fact, it might be a little optimistic.
I had some issues embedding the video, it works but some of the coding carried over into this post.
You can always go to the Turn Signal link above to view the video on the Citizenlink website.

More On Spreading The Wealth From Barack Obama

Posted on October 26th, 2008 in United States Politics by rfburnhertz

We all saw the video or heard the audio clip of the brief conversation between Barack Obama and “Joe the plumber”.

Now we go back to 2001 where we hear Obama confirm in a radio interview that he holds solidly to the belief of redistribution and also how best that redistribution can be accomplished.

If some dim-bulb such as myself can simply surf the internet and find this stuff, why can’t the MSM?

UPDATE:Found the text to the above audio at Stop The ACLU

If you look at the victories and failures of the civil rights movement and its litigation strategy in the court. I think where it succeeded was to invest formal rights in previously dispossessed people, so that now I would have the right to vote. I would now be able to sit at the lunch counter and order as long as I could pay for it I’d be o.k. But, the Supreme Court never ventured into the issues of redistribution of wealth, and of more basic issues such as political and economic justice in society. To that extent, as radical as I think people try to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as its been interpreted and Warren Court interpreted in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties. Says what the states can’t do to you. Says what the Federal government can’t do to you, but doesn’t say what the Federal government or State government must do on your behalf, and that hasn’t shifted and one of the, I think, tragedies of the civil rights movement was, um, because the civil rights movement became so court focused I think there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalition of powers through which you bring about redistributive change. In some ways we still suffer from that.

I’m not optimistic about bringing about major redistributive change through the courts. You know, the institution just isn’t structured that way.

He isn’t optimistic but he sure is working towards that end despite what he has said since Joe the plumber confronted him.

Marxists/Socialists/Communists for Obama

Posted on October 25th, 2008 in United States Politics by rfburnhertz

As I’ve noted I’ll be covering ground that has already been covered.
Nothing like a little reminder from time to time though.

Barack Obama has confirmed to me that he is indeed a socialist of the first order by way of word, action and association.

There are those in America who consider themselves to be Socialist, Communist or Marxist who don’t believe Obama falls into any of those categories.
They do however believe he represents their views close enough that they are willing to back him and give to him their votes.

That fact means something.

My Barack Obama Community Blogs

This group is for self-proclaimed Marxists/Communists/Socialists for the election of Barack Obama to the Presidency. By no means is he a true Marxist, but under Karl Marx’s writings we are to support the party with the best interests of the mobilization of the proletariat. Though the Democratic Socialists of America or the Communist Patty of America may have more Socialististic values, it is pointless to vote for these candidates due to the fact that there is virutally no chance they will be elected on a National level.

It also means something that a blog for self proclaimed “Marxist,Socialists, and Communists” would be allowed on the Obama site  my.barackobama.com is a part of barackobama.com).

One would think that someone who rejects such worldviews would also reject such content and statements being place on their campaign website.

Barack Obama may not be a full on Marxist, but he is damn close and too damn close as to be allowed to be the President of this nation.

That he would even be given such very serious consideration by the American people demonstrates just how very far we have moved from the America created and envisioned by those who founded our nation.

Socialism Is Socialism No Matter Which Party Promotes It

Posted on October 9th, 2008 in United States Politics by rfburnhertz

The bailout was a clearly socialist move, though I honestly had a hard time working out in my own mind if it was or was not a good idea.

I’m a tad ashamed of the fact that I was so unsure as I do believe capitalism is superior to socialism or any other ism.

But I was very quick to consider it a good idea.

As day’s have passed and I’ve more time to consider it it is clear the market should be allowed to work, especially when taking into consideration that the source of the problem was primarily government caused above and beyond any corporate greed and individual stupidity.
Being that the government was the cause it is hard to see it [government] as being the solution.

The we move to the most recent Presidential debate which showed in a glaring way the socialist tendencies of Barack Obama; but we also saw that McCain can swing a big socialist bat as well.

Those of us who consider ourselves conservative and did NOT want McCain as our candidate had already seen and noted that he too has a little socialist in him.

The debate demonstrate that fact pretty well in particular when McCain spoke of buying up mortgages.

It is a depressing fact that both parties tend towards a new quasi (at best) socialist America.

Can a real conservative please stand up?
