I Choose My Friends Carefully; Politically Active Black Students, Foreign Students, The Chicanos, The Marxist Professors And Structural Feminists

Posted on October 29th, 2008 in United States Politics by rfburnhertz

Barack Obama has tried to wring out every last drop he can from that tired rag “McCain equals Bush”.
If we put that same logic to work against Obama then “Obama equals Marx”.

I’ll begin with a quote from Barack Obama’s book “Dreams From My Father”

I’d seen this some months ago but saw it again today while reading an article by Bill Sammon of Fox News and it brought to mind some other issues which assist in demonstrating that at best Barack Obama is a Socialist.

To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets. We smoked cigarettes and wore leather jackets. At night, in the dorms, we discussed neocolonialism, Franz Fanon, Eurocentrism and patriarchy.

[If you do not know who Franz Fanon (actual name was Frantz Fanon) is you can find a quick overview here: Frantz Fanon was a psychiatrist, philosopher, revolutionary, and author from Martinique. He was influential in the field of post-colonial studies and was perhaps the pre-eminent thinker of the 20th century on the issue of decolonization and the psychopathology of colonization. His works have inspired anti-colonial liberation movements for more than four decades.]
He chose his friends carefully, given the description of his friends he clearly sought out the radical fringe and those groups which tended towards Socialist and Marxist ideology.
If Barack did not favor a Socialist/Marxist ideology did he then seek such person out to be his friends?

Barack’s mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, was a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA).
Typically a mentor is one who is meant to influence a person in a specific direction in life. A counselor, a teacher.

Campaign workers for Barack Obama displayed a flag featuring communist hero Che Guevara.

I haven’t heard since the first time I saw this image, but I am sure the flag has since been removed per the Obama campaign. Removed or not it demonstrates the type of person Obama attracts and inspires to work for his election.

Marx and Obama have in common a disdain for religion.
Speaking of small town America Obama said the following:

they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations

No less hostility was displayed by Marx when he stated:

Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the sentiment of a heartless world, and the soul of a soulless condition. It is the opium of the people

Or

Religion is the impotence of the human mind to deal with occurrences it cannot understand

Mr. Obama essentially echoed the thoughts of Karl Marx.

Mr. Obama makes claim to Christianity yet words such as this flow with ease from his heart, to his mind and out his mouth.

Perhaps not that surprising when you look closely at the church he attended for 20 years which taught from the pulpit a very Socialist perversion of the Gospel.

Senator Obama has previously worked with ACORN (though he has recently begun to deny any direct involvement with the group) which in the 1980 made a practice of placing squatters in unoccupied homes.

ACORN speaks to this on their website:

ACORN sought to place needy people in the resulting vacant homes. This required the forceful and illegal (though logical and moral) seizing of the properties - squatting.

The squatting campaigns involved personal, community and political dimensions. The personal needs of people without homes attracted many to advertisements ACORN placed in papers asking “Do you need a home?” The squatting campaign required a personal commitment to move into a vacant, usually poorly kept house and refit it for comfortable living. It also involved the risk of arrest if local authorities refused them the legal occupation of the home.

How very Marxist indeed.

Barack Obama was listed as being a member of the Socialist organization known as the New Party.
We all know about Bill Ayers the domestic terrorist and his association with Barack Obama.
Obama makes a regular claim that Ayers was just “Some guy in the neighborhood”.
Seem’s a tad odd that Obama would review and endorse a book for “Some guy in the neighborhood”.

Consider all of the above information to be puzzle pieces.
Each piece may not demonstrate on it’s own that Barack Obama is a Socialist or a Marxist.
But as we put all the pieces together the picture emerges in a very clear manner.

I by no means presented all of the pieces here, but enough were presented to know what the picture will look like when the last piece is added to the puzzle.

Many other blogs have covered this topic in much more depth than I have.

Vote Fraud: All You Will Ever Need To Know About ACORN

Posted on October 14th, 2008 in General by rfburnhertz

Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit has written a great piece titled The Complete Guide to ACORN Voter Fraud over at Pajamas Media.

The alternative media has made enough of a buzz that the MSM had to acknowledge ACORN but they have done so in a manner as to try to convince people that the matter is barely worthy of mention. They [the MSM] are the police trying to clear an accident scene, trying to keep the gruesome sight as concealed as possible;”Nothing to see here folks, let’s move along”.

Move along…

Follow the many links in the article by Jim Hoft [linked above] and see if there is nothing there.

This is damn serious business and from where I sit it looks as though the right persons are not taking this serious enough.
I would assume this is something the Justice Department would be involved in. Voter fraud simply isn’t worth their time? Unless I’ve missed something (which I admit I may well have) the DOJ hasn’t so much as squinted at ACORN.

McCain is apparently going to bring it up in the debate but we know darn well that Obama will deny any involvement with ACORN and after the debate that is the last you will hear of a connection between Obama and ACORN.

Despite two facts (or likely because of two facts) the MSM will not attempt to make the factual link between ACORN and Obama.

Those facts are:
#1 ACORN has in the past and is currently involved in voter fraud.
#2 Obama has done work for and with ACORN.

The following is from the WSJ:

Which brings us to Mr. Obama, who got his start as a Chicago “community organizer” at Acorn’s side. In 1992 he led voter registration efforts as the director of Project Vote, which included Acorn. This past November, he lauded Acorn’s leaders for being “smack dab in the middle” of that effort. Mr. Obama also served as a lawyer for Acorn in 1995, in a case against Illinois to increase access to the polls.

During his tenure on the board of Chicago’s Woods Fund, that body funneled more than $200,000 to Acorn. More recently, the Obama campaign paid $832,000 to an Acorn affiliate. The campaign initially told the Federal Election Commission this money was for “staging, sound, lighting.” It later admitted the cash was to get out the vote.

The Obama campaign is now distancing itself from Acorn, claiming Mr. Obama never organized with it and has nothing to do with illegal voter registration. Yet it’s disingenuous to channel cash into an operation with a history of fraud and then claim you’re shocked to discover reports of fraud. As with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers, Mr. Obama was happy to associate with Acorn when it suited his purposes. But now that he’s on the brink of the Presidency, he wants to disavow his ties.

From IBD:

Of course, Obama denies being a trainer for ACORN and its staff of community rabble-rousers now engaged in massive countrywide vote fraud to elect the man who helped lead their effort to force banks to issue loans to people who could not afford them.

Obama’s Web site proclaims, “Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.” Then how is it that Chicago ACORN leader Toni Foulkes sang Obama’s praises for his work for ACORN in his article, “Case Study: Chicago — The Barack Obama Campaign,” which appeared in Social Policy magazine in 2004?

Foulkes said ACORN first recognized Obama’s talents as a community organizer when he was organizing on Chicago’s far south side with the Developing Communities Project.

Foulkes wrote: “When he returned from law school, we asked him to help us with a lawsuit to challenge the state of Illinois’ refusal to abide by the National Voting Rights Act . . . . Obama took the case, known as ACORN vs. Edgar . . . and we won.”

More from IBD:

Foulkes says that “Obama then went on to run a voter registration project with Project VOTE in 1992 that made it possible for Carol Mosely Braun to win the Senate that year. Project Vote delivered 50,000 newly registered voters in that campaign (ACORN delivered about 5,000 of them).”

ACORN was so impressed with Obama’s work with and for ACORN that, according to Foulkes, “Since then, we have invited Obama to our leadership training sessions to run the session on power every year, and, as a result, many of our newly developing leaders got to know him before he ever ran for office.”

Last November, Obama told the group, “I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran (the) Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.”

Obama appreciates ACORN’s work so much, and vice versa, that Obama last December promised to implement ACORN’s agenda as president. On Dec. 1, 2007, Obama spoke at the Heartland Democratic Presidential Forum organized by Deepak Bhargava, executive director of the Center for Community Change. When asked if Obama would sit down with community organizers in the first 100 days of his presidency, Obama said, “Yes, but let me even say before I even get inaugurated, during the transition we’ll be calling all of you (community organizers) in to help us shape the agenda.”

No one but Obama could get away with this crap.
Bill Ayers, Tony Rezco, The New Party (a Socialist party which Obama sought and received and endorsement from), ACORN, and on, and on, and on.

Obama can do no wrong even when all that he does is wrong.

The extent of the fraud seems to be so extensive that it is without a doubt to late to do anything to assure an election free of corruption.

The only way to even begin to counter the corruption is for every American to encourage very person they know to vote. If you don’t vote then some dead guy in your district may damn well be choosing the next President.

And we all know how the dead vote…
they vote Democrat.

Obama Say’s ACORN And Friends Will Shape His Presidential Agenda

Surely you have heard of ACORN by now.

Keep in mind then as you view the video that they [ACORN] have recently been in the news in relation to voter fraud but are as well knee deep in the mortgage crisis.

The One Trick Pony

Posted on September 30th, 2008 in United States Politics by rfburnhertz

A great article from Duane of The Black Informant.
He notes how Congressman Keith Ellison who he call’s a One Trick Pony, has found a way to make the current economic situation a race issue.

I find it very disgusting that at this time when there is so much economic fear that a person in a position of responsibility would grab hold of that fear and attempt to wrap it tightly with more fear.

Do people really need someone like Ellison stacking one fear upon another?

I do not understand persons like Ellison and why they act in the manner they do. Are they unable to see that they will in the end do more harm than good?

Much to the shock and contempt of Keith Ellison, the culprit responsible for today’s financial crisis has been discovered by those on the right end of the political spectrum.

The villains?

“Poor blacks caused this,” said Ellison, Minnesota’s the 5th District congressman, scornfully. “That’s what we’re supposed to believe. Little ACORN caused this. The mighty captains of Wall Street got taken down by little ACORN and poor black people. That’s what you’re hearing on the right. The gall and audacity of this is beyond imagination.”

Duane also demonstrates how Ronald Reagan, Newt Gingrich, and both of the Bushes get smacked down on ACORN but Clinton gets a pass.
